CRASH
A QUAD RUGBY TEAM CHARLOTTE, NC
|
Quad Rugby is a collision sport as well as a paralympic medal sport since the games debut at the
1996 Games in Atlanta, GA. The sport fell into the limelight in 2005 with the release of the award
winning documentary Murderball which highlighted both the violent nature of the sport as well as the
emotional and physical impact of spinal cord injury in young men.
The Carolina Crash is a wheelchair/quad rugby team for men and women and is the only Western,
NC team serving players from both North and South Carolina. It is one of only two programs in the
state.
The team travels throughout the southeast United States competing in tournament play from
September through March every year in training for the opportunity to qualify for post-season play and
is always looking for new players and sponsors - contact us!
